FIRE & RESCUE VEHICLES
Forest Fire Fighting Vehicle – MFFV
All-terrain wildfire response built for difficult forest environments.
The MFFV combines all-wheel-drive mobility, high-pressure firefighting systems and vehicle self-protection for forest roads, slopes and remote wildfire operations.
- All-Wheel Drive
- Up to 40 Bar
- Wildland Firefighting
The MERAJ Forest Fire Fighting Vehicle (MFFV) Series is built for wildland firefighting in terrain where conventional urban fire apparatus can struggle to operate. MFFV vehicles use all-wheel drive with a minimum 4×4 configuration and are designed for narrow roads, unstable ground, steep slopes, rocks and mud. Single- and double-cab layouts allow the vehicle configuration to match crew and operational requirements.
The MFFV Series includes Light, Medium and Heavy Duty configurations. Available firefighting systems include pumps from 500 to 2,500 LPM, with high-pressure pump options reaching 40 bar. Self-protection measures and rollover protection support operations close to wildfire conditions where radiant heat can reach the vehicle.
MERAJ states that the forest firefighting platform meets the requirements of Category 3 of European Standard EN 1846-2 for all-terrain firefighting vehicles. Water curtains and anti-roll structures can form part of the vehicle self-protection concept. Fire departments comparing structural and wildland apparatus can also explore the MERAJ Urban Fire Truck (MFT) and the wider Fire Fighting & Rescue Vehicle range.
The Heavy Duty MFFV is configured for extended wildfire operations where crews require greater extinguishing-agent capacity and more equipment support. MERAJ lists tank-vehicle configurations with capacities of up to 14,000 liters across the forest firefighting range. Heavy Duty configurations retain the MFFV Series focus on all-terrain operation, rollover protection and vehicle self-protection. Departments requiring additional bulk water supply can combine forest fire operations with a MERAJ Firefighting Support Tanker (MWB-F).
